Women's Services
Minden Medical Center loves helping new babies come into the world. Our staff helps deliver hundreds of new babies each year, yet it never gets old. You may be surprised when visiting our hospital to hear the Brahm's lullaby playing overhead, but it's just a small reminder to our staff and visitors every time a baby is born that life is precious and we are truly thankful to be able to play a huge part in that event.
Minden Medical Center wants to provide valuable services from the beginning of your pregnancy to the day of your discharge. We will happily see you through the prenatal process, providing classes and education and see you through delivery to our well-baby nursery. Should your baby require additional care at time of birth, our Level II nursery is equipped to handle that as well.
Our childbirth education classes are offered monthly and provide valuable education about the birth process, physical changes that occur during pregnancy, and emotional changes that accompany the whole process. If you are interested in breastfeeding, our breastfeeding initiative is GIFT certified and will provide you with both the education and support that you need to be successful.
All of our patient rooms are designed to labor, deliver, and recover in the same room. Rooms are private and have newly-appointed furnishings designed to make your stay, and your family, comfortable.
